      Born in 1957，Beijing.

      1963，Started learning drawing since 1963，and watercolor from those great teachers  are Zhang Xiaoying、Deng Lingxiang、Zhou Sicong and Feng Xiangyi. 

      In 1989, he participated in "1989 International Art Exhibition in New York, U.S.A."

      In 1990, he held his first individual oil painting and traditional Chinese painting 

      exhibition at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts Gallery.

      In 1991, he became the first professional artist in the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC). Prefaced by Fan Di’an, the director of the National Art Museum of China, “Guo Tailai Oil Painting Exhibition- In Commemoration of the 110th anniversary of Picasso” was held at the Beijing International Trade Center.This exhibition was the one and only activity held by the art circle for the commemoration of Picasso. There were all together 27 art works in this exhibition and they were all inquired by Mercedes-Benz, collectors from San Francisco, U.S.A., Hong Kong, or Korea. 

      In 1992, as a professional artist of CFLAC, he worked as the manager of Lufthansa Gallery.

      In 1993, he held his own calligraphy exhibition in Guanfuzhai, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Chairman Mao.In Beijing International Auction of Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy in 1993, my painting "Still Life" was successfully auctioned at twenty-six thousand RMB. With the paintings I drew during this period of time, I held a small-scale exhibiting in Beijing Gallery. Those paintings were acquired by collector Guo Qingxiang from Dalian YueBaozhai.

      From 1997 to 2007, he broke the traditional style and laid the foundation of Colorful Art by repeatedly drawing practice and largely reading.

      In 2008, he consummated the style and theory foundation of Colorful Art which gave Chinese paintings new aesthetic feeling in form and special substance.

      In 2011, ”Eastern Tailai - Guo Tailai Colorful Art exhibition” was held at the Exclamatory Point Art Space in 798,Beijing. Then “three person’s Chinese ink painting journey, Central Plains, Huaxia” was held at Hongrun Huaxia Art Museum in Zhengzhou. In the same year, Guo Tailai Art Museum was set up in Beijing.

      In 2012, “Taihe Tailai - Guo Tailai Colorful Art exhibition” was held at Taihe Art Space in 798, Beijing.

      In 2012, “Art Beijing - Guo Tailai Colorful Art exhibition” was held at Beijing Agricultural Museum.
