Born in 1963, Dong Wei is Vice Professor, Master’s Supervisor and Exhibition Planner in Jilin College of the Arts.
His work Changbai Mountain got the Design Creativity Award of the 7th International Fiber Art Biennial Exhibition. And in 2013, he creates series works for China-EU Old Castle Forum. In recent years, he focuses on the exploration and expression of new media arts. He is also adept in harmonizing the everyday subtle feeling by his side into his works. His representative works include Your Imperial Highness and Princess Consort, Two Poles, Reality and Heart, Red Wall, and so on.
Among these, the etching works Reality and Heart, Distance etc. were enshrined by many collectors in China. And Your Imperial Highness and Princess Consort was collected by 18 European old castle museums in France, Spain, Russia, Denmark, Austria, Poland, Latvia and others.
